jewelry care

how do i care for my grace + goldie jewelry?

to care for your gold jewelry, a good gold polishing cloth or mild soap
works great. it is best to avoid abrasive materials like a terry cloth, bath towel or a t-shirt to polish your jewelry. always pat dry- do not rub!

we recommend avoiding direct contact between your jewelry and any harsh chemicals, which can be found in perfumes, cosmetics, and soaps, as they can cause the finish to darken much more quickly than they should. we do not guarantee that once a piece has darkened due to exposure it can be saved, which is why we strongly encourage and recommend proper care to enjoy your jewelry for years to come.

silver jewelry should be removed before being exposed to water. any
exposure to chemicals and certain environments can also cause the silver to darken. we recommend using a mild soap and water mixture or a silver cleaning solution to polish and restore luster. for a more advanced cleaning you can use a soft polishing cloth.

*although it is rare, sometimes individual body chemistries can react
with the metal and cause reaction. pregnancy, hormone levels, and medications can affect our body alkalinity versus acidity, and could cause a reaction to your jewelry.

to keep your more than me jewelry looking beautiful for years to come we recommend storing your jewelry in the pouch you received with your order.

make sure to thoroughly dry your gold items after getting them wet. you can do this with a soft non abrasive cloth.

*note that gold filled items can tarnish when coming in contact with lotions, perfumes and other products containing certain chemicals. grace + goldie is not responsible for any tarnishing that may occur due to improper care.

can my jewelry get wet?

yes! grace + goldie jewelry made to live in! we do recommend drying your jewelry well after getting wet to help prevent any tarnishing.

warranty faqs

what is the difference between gold-filled and gold-plated?

gold-filled jewelry by definition is "composed of a solid layer of gold, mechanically bonded to a base metal." it provides the quality one would expect from solid gold. gold-plated, on the other hand, will tarnish and can result in discoloration. grace + goldie is proud to only offer gold-filled products, which offers customers a high-quality, long lasting piece of jewelry.

do you offer any warranty or guarantee?

yes! grace + goldie offers a 4 month limited warranty on all jewelry. if anything breaks, comes unraveled or stretches beyond a reasonable amount we will replace the item. to process a warranty request email us at hello@graceandgoldie.com with your order number.

if any piece breaks, unravels or stretches beyond the 4-month warranty we can restring for a $5 fee + any missing materials cost + shipping costs.

*tarnish due to improper care is not covered by the warranty. the 4-month limited warranty only covers a item breaking, coming unraveled or stretching.
